Full Moon Hike ‘n’ Yoga

Four days With Kathy

July 21-25, 2024

When Kathy discovered the magic of Pictou Island attending her first Wooden Tents retreat in 2019 she knew she would be back - as an instructor. She is returning for her third year of leading wonderful yoga classes and fun invigorating daily hikes across beaches, over rocks, and sometimes even through a bit of water - hopefully making it all the way around the island!

The retreat kicks off with a full moon on July 21 lending its brilliance to Kathy’s retreat. Learn how yoga practice in conjunction with the energy and brightness of the full moon can help release what is no longer good for you. Let it guide you in manifesting the things that you want in life. Enjoy your summer and take a step in the right direction.

Then join Kathy each day for a hike along the shore of the island and experience the wonderful nooks and crannies she’s discovered over the years. On Wednesday we’ll meet you on the beach with a nutritious vegetarian lunch to keep your energy going.

Unplug, unwind, and recharge by starting each morning with a session of energizing yoga and meditation before setting off together to explore the extraordinary shorelines, beautiful beaches, and many special places. Challenge yourself while soaking up the sunshine, nature, and stillness of the island. Enjoy an ocean swim in the warmest waters north of Virginia and cap off each day with more yoga and meditation to soothe your body and ease your mind.

Your retreat includes:

• Daily journaling to develop a deeper sense of inner peace, love, and gratitude.

Kathy loves people, nature, music, hiking, yoga and life. She has studied yoga under several inspiring teachers. Once ignited, her passion drove the need to share this mind and body practice with others. Kathy completed her yoga teacher training in 2018, with a focus on Hatha Yoga & Ayurveda. Her classes are rooted in awareness - the connection between our minds and bodies with the nature all around us. She believes fervently in the healing power of gratitude and how the simple practice of being thankful can plant seeds of hope when we need it the most.
