After hosting popular retreats the past three years, Britt has agreed to host two Wooden Tents sessions in 2024. Her always pleasant vibe is the perfect compliment to the peaceful simplicity of Island life. Britt its a true believer in the positive power of creating a stability in your yoga - rooted in daily practice. Over four days she’ll help you regain your rhythm allowing your attention to turn inward - helping to harmonize your mind, body, and soul.

Get back in your groove. Britt will teach you to build balanced poses from the ground up so you can focus on using the power of breath and movement she has created a very mindful practice that combines meditation with energizing morning flows and relaxing evening sessions that will guide you to a deeper sense of self and of inner calm.

Brit Overmars has had a committed yoga practice for over fifteen years. Twelve years ago she decided to pursue her passion and become a yoga instructor. Her studies took her to Vancouver where she mentored under Gloria Latham. Since finishing her teacher training, she has completed Janet Stone’s 5 Elements training in Mexico and has taken part in a number of Gurmukh’s workshops.

Brit spent her 20’s traveling before eventually returning to her roots in Antigonish, NS, where she now leads classes at various locations in Antigonish - and now Pictou Counties! She lives near Antigonish with her husband and daughter. Together they run Maple Heart Media, a small in-home videography business. In fact, while here last summer they produced their own short video you can watch below:
